Scissor lifts are normally a commodity level item.  However, these are generally hydraulic powered and not compatible with cleanroom standards.  When a leading semiconductor tool supplier needed a tailored solution for field service in fabs, Alum-a-Lift was up to the task.  Not only is this lift small, lightweight with an all-electric system, it is the only known scissor lift suitable for Class 100 (ISO 5) cleanrooms.  It also features custom interface for tooling and uses a proprietary multi-stage drivetrain.  Given the limitations when scissor lifts are retracted, this created the need for us to develop a novel mechanism to facilitate lifting prioritizing safety and ergonomic field service.
