A national laboratory needed a safe way to remove an explosive assembly from a cart and immerse it in a liquid bath. In order to be intrinsically safe for the explosive environment, this work positioner lift forgoes all electrical components in favor of pneumatic operation. Pneumatic operation makes the lift suitable for use in NEC 500/IEC Class 1 & 2, Division 1 & 2 environments. The work positioner’s self-stable, stationary base requires no mounting holes in the floor, and the entire lifting column swivels 90-degrees in either direction to position the load.
