Details

Battery handling for repetitive transfers and packing can create unnecessary forklift moves, manual deadlifts, and extra steps on the production floor. Project 37236 is a custom AlumaLift designed to handle batteries weighing up to 162 lbs. [73 kgs.], giving operators a safer and more efficient way to lift batteries from the floor or pallets and place them into boxes, dollies, or carts with short, controlled lift movements.

The lift uses tethers with Jhooks that attach to a swiveling hoist ring, allowing the battery to be picked securely while maintaining flexibility during positioning. The swiveling connection helps the load align naturally as it is lifted and placed, reducing awkward handling and helping operators guide the battery into the correct location without relying on a forklift for every single pick. Pendant button controls keep lift operation simple and intuitive, giving the operator direct control during pickup, transfer, and placement.

By replacing oneoff forklift moves and reducing manual lifting from the floor, this battery handling lift improves ergonomics, reduces strain, and streamlines packing workflows. The same approach can be adapted for battery manufacturing, energy storage, automotive, electronics, industrial equipment, and distribution environments where heavy batteries or dense components need to be lifted safely from pallets, carts, dollies, or packaging stations.
