Project 36679 is a self‑propelled, cart‑style compact motorized lift, developed as a repeat and refinement of a proven prior design. Drawing from Alum‑a‑Lift’s deep library of repeatable custom solutions, this motor driven lift is engineered to handle automotive components and fixtures over ergonomic floor mats in a tight manufacturing area where overall length must be kept to a minimum.
The customer requested a motorized lift to safely move and position fixtures and other automotive components. A fork‑style design was selected, allowing the fixture to lower down to 16 in [406 mm] from the floor with a total vertical travel of 48 in [1,219 mm]. The compact, self‑propelled chassis provides powered travel and controlled lifting, so operators can pick up, transport, and position fixtures and components in confined work cells without excessive manual pushing or lifting.
Because the manufacturer can run a wide mix of products at any time and relies on interchangeable tooling to support that flexibility, the compact motorized lift was configured with interchangeable tooling as well. This makes the motorized lift cart a flexible, repeatable custom solution that can be reproduced or adapted across industries, including defense, aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, and general manufacturing, where a compact, motor driven lift is needed to handle components and fixtures in tight spaces while maintaining safety and ergonomics.
