Details

Alum-a-Lift’s Roll Handling Lift is a battery-powered, ergonomic roll handling solution engineered for safe, efficient lifting and positioning of large absorbent hygiene rolls in adult incontinence and personal care product manufacturing. Designed to handle rolls of 500 lbs. and above, this mobile roll handling equipment supports demanding nonwoven converting and packaging operations while reducing manual roll lifting, operator strain, and ergonomic risk on the production floor. It is made to go over the top of a cart the customer is already using, which allows the lift to maintain a smaller footprint with reduced reach.

The lift is equipped with a boom featuring a flip stop nose and docking tip specifically configured for roll loading and unloading. This roll handling device is well suited for wide, high loft absorbent materials and nonwovens used in protective underwear, briefs, and other disposable absorbent hygiene products. During transfer, the boom supports the roll while the flip stop and docking tip capture, align, and position it securely at the destination. Adaptors interface with destination shafts to guide the core into place in a controlled, repeatable manner, helping to prevent roll and equipment damage and misalignment in high-speed hygiene processes.

Quick exchange (QX) battery packs mounted on either side of the lift supply power for full operational output, providing reliable performance for lifting, travel, and precise roll positioning. This battery powered roll lifter eliminates the need for a tethered power source, improving maneuverability around converting and packaging equipment and allowing a single roll handling cart to service multiple workstations in crowded personal care manufacturing environments. The result is safer, more efficient handling of absorbent hygiene rolls with improved uptime and throughput across the production line.
