Details

Medical poly rolls used in packaging and cleanroom environments are often heavy, varied in core size, and sensitive to damage during handling. Project 36367 is a custom AlumaLift solution, based on telescoping Project 27777, designed to handle medical poly rolls weighing up to 200 lb. The lift is configured with an adjustable dualprong attachment that can accommodate rolls with 3″ and 6″ cores and a maximum web length of 12″. Rolls are stored on standard 42″ x 42″ pallets and transferred onto a service cart before being brought to the cleanroom floor.

The adjustable dual-prong spacing allows operators to pick a wide range of roll diameters directly from a flat surface while keeping the core free and clear for easy loading onto the service cart or downstream equipment. Rolls can be manually tilted to allow the adjustable dualprong lift to engage under the roll, then lifted off the pallet and positioned onto the cart at heights up to 47″. The design supports rolls wrapped in foil as well as rolls with plastic core caps, helping maintain roll integrity and protect packaging surfaces during transfer.

To support safe movement between pallet storage and the cleanroom, the system includes a dedicated AlumaDolly with handle. The dolly provides a stable, maneuverable platform for rolls once they are loaded, allowing them to be rolled out to the cleanroom floor without excessive manual lifting. This combination of adjustable dualprong tooling and dedicated dolly creates a versatile medical roll handling solution that reduces manual handling and supports consistent, safe movement of poly rolls in medical and cleanroom packaging areas.
