Details

Installing bus stacks into switchgear cabinets is often an awkward job, especially when assemblies arrive bolted flat to a pallet and must be placed into units that may be laying down or standing upright. Project 35531 is a mobile Alum‑a‑Lift with a tilting suction head designed to handle bus stacks weighing up to 350 lb. [159 kg]. It gives operators a more ergonomic alternative to using a forklift on the assembly line, allowing them to pick the assembly from the pallet, maneuver it through the build area, and position it directly inside the switchboard unit.

The lift uses a vacuum area to securely hold the bus stack during transfer, with adjustable and removable retaining fingers that provide additional support for different stack configurations. A powered 90° tilt lets the operator change the assembly from a flat position to a vertical position for installation into an upright cabinet. The suction head also offers 90° manual rotation, giving technicians the fine orientation control needed to align the bus stack with the enclosure and mounting features.

A telescoping rotating foot improves clearance around pallets and cabinet openings. Combined with the mobile base, vacuum lift, powered tilt, and adjustable supports, it reduces forklift use, manual handling, and component damage risk across a range of electrical assembly applications.
