Details
An aircraft company requested a lifting and rotating system to handle long aerospace components weighing up to 1000lbs. Our tandem lift system is based on two model A800CSLR-60 lifts, each with a powered lifting function. One lift includes a powered rotation module capable of locking every 90 degrees, the second acts as an idler. Both lifts have rotation modules that are mounted to a horizontal pivot which allows for some misalignment if the lifts are not run at the same speed.
One base includes screw-down leveling pads for brakes so the second unit can move forward or back slightly when misalignment happens. The free-moving lift can have rigid or directional locking front-to-back casters to keep it from drifting left or right. By using the Alum-a-Lift tandem lift system, significantly higher lifting capacity is obtained vs a single crane, as well as greater stability and minimizing safety risks.
