Details

A state-of-the-art satellite design and manufacturing company required a dual-axis work positioner for assembling and testing satellite components. This Alum-a-Lift provides a bolted interface for mounting spacecraft assemblies and tooling up to 1102 lbs and possesses two axes of powered rotation at 360 degrees to manipulate assemblies into multiple orientations. A powered lateral shuttle and deflection compensation allows for highly accurate positioning of the assemblies. The rotating interface at the end of the arm is specially designed to avoid contact with sensitive components and provide technicians with access to install and remove test equipment. Additionally, it features extended legs to maintain stability.
