This heatsink assembly and installation lift was custom engineered to securely hold and rotate heatsink assemblies, allowing operators to easily access both sides of each unit for installations prior to mounting into cabinets.
The lift’s end-effector features a powered gripper and 360° side-to-side rotation to flip heatsink panels onto workstations while it’s being assembled. The powered tilt feature and lateral shuttle assist in mounting heatsink assemblies to cabinet units in a position where the lift can safely disengage.
A safety overload module (SOSD) is calibrated to the lift’s rated weight and will stop upward travel if the end-effector is overloaded or encounters obstacles such as a table, preventing potential injuries or damage.
Additionally, a traveling limit switch module is in use when loading/unloading at various heights. This module allows operators to manually set multiple stopping points on the lift’s mast for easy and repeatable results.
