An industry leader in graphite machining contacted Alum-a-Lift to create a solution for loading large graphite stock into CNC’s to be machined. This powered clamp lifter allows for precise handling of graphite blocks varying in sizes from 19″ to 28″ in diameter and 7″ to 12″ tall and weighing up to 300 pounds. Given the weight of the graphite blocks, both front-to-back and side-to-side rotation modules are powered to reduce manual work and promote safer conditions for the operator and the load. The lift also includes an adjustable clamp force limiter for reliable, repeatable gripping and interchangeable clamp pads for handling round and square graphite blocks.
