Grindstones are heavy abrasive discs that must be changed out periodically. This lift offers a safe method to move this tooling between storage shelves and machine shafts. First, the lift is parked in front of a shelf and the grindstone is slid onto its stainless steel platform. A removable central shaft can then be installed which retains the stone and enables the lift’s powered rotation feature. Once rotated horizontally, the lift can be positioned in front of process equipment where a grindstone is unloaded and installed.
