A tool and die department at an aerospace facility required their tooling to be changed and inspected several times a week . These cylindrical components can weigh up to 120lb, and must be rotated for inspection which is unergonomic and dangerous for the operators. This lift allows one to use a torque wrench at a preset value to secure the gripper on the tool handle before lifting. With the CG very close to the axis of rotation, and a long lever arm the rotation for inspection is nearly effortless. The rotation can be locked into multiple positions for inspection keeping both tools and toes safe!
