Details
Mills are used to process bio glasses for the manufacture of toothpaste. The milling process requires jars to be placed on horizontal rollers of a grinding station. This Alum-a-Lift includes a custom designed manual clamping end-effector that engages jars from their outer diameter without interfering with the station’s rollers. Once lifted, an operator uses the manual rotation module for controlled pouring of the jar’s contents or placement of the jar on a pharmaceutical lab bench. The lift’s overload safety device restricts lifting if the system’s rated load is exceeded and restricts lowering if collision with a stationary obstacle is detected.
