During the food production process, liquids like cream, are poured over irregularly shaped, earth metal magnets. These magnets are positioned on elevated platforms and must be removed from the line every two hours for cleaning and replacement. Operators pull the magnets from the platforms and place them into plastic totes, which are then taken to a nearby stainless steel wash basin. Access to the magnets is via metal steps, but carrying heavy totes down these steps is laborious and unsafe.

Alum-a-Lift’s non-magnetic platform lift adjusts to the height of the elevated platforms, allowing operators to safely place the totes on it at platform level. The lift is then smoothly lowered to the floor, making it easy and safe to transport totes to the wash basin. This eliminates the need to carry heavy totes down steps, reducing the risk of injury and making the process much safer and more efficient for everyone involved.
