Alum-a-Lift has countless offerings to support the needs of the Filtration and related industries. Clamping lifts raise and rotate drums and carboys full of powders, liquids, and capsules; Roll handling lifts, roll inverters and roll manipulators elevate paper and plastic filter material, packaging, and bagging; clamping systems grip housings and cylindrical inserts; custom lifts and custom end-effectors handle filters, vessels, boxes, and anything else too heavy for the unaided human.
Alum-a-Lift has IP-65 lifts which can be configured for exposure to liquids. Hose-down/wash-down units carry an IP65 rating, totally protected from dust, and protected against low pressure jets of water from all directions (limited ingress permitted.) If caustic cleaning solutions are required, stainless steel lifts can be configured accordingly.
Alum-a-Lift is an expert in clean room requirements and compatible cleanroom lifts. With over 25 years’ experience, we can offer cleanroom compliant versions of any of our lifts, set up with your application in mind, with systems as clean as FED STD Class 10 (ISO 4.) Even the most basic boom lift uses a clean, electric, ball screw drive suitable for Class 10,000 (ISO 7.)
Alum-a-Lift tailors systems for your specific process. A drum dumping lift with a clamping end-effector may differ not only for a 20, 30, or 55 gallon drum, but also for lifting and dumping drums of the same size in fiber, metal, and plastic. A drum lift that raises drums up to a mezzanine may utilize a telescoping mast section, while the drum handler that dumps the same drums into a hopper may be equipped with powered wrists to allow forward dumping or a trunion to allow side dumping. An Alum-a-Lift is optimized for the equipment it will interact with and the environment is will operate in. Confined spaces, narrow aisles, overhead obstacles, and other challenges are identified and addressed as a standard practice. If clearance for forward protruding legs is unavailable, counterbalanced lifts are available.
Alum-a-lifts are versatile and eliminate the need for forklifts. Typical battery powered lifts for the Filtration industry are compact, lightweight and mobile. Factors such as push / pull forces are analyzed when designing the lifting device with the goal of minimizing overall system weight for ease of use. When push / pull forces do exceed industry standards, clean electric powered drive wheel lifts are available.
Alum-a-lifts designs also address real-world off-center loading conditions which are the largest contributor to failure in a light-weight lift system. Single mast systems cannot withstand side loading and will ultimately fail. Utilizing dual mast construction in standard lifts or linear rail construction to withstand heavier side loads or dynamic side loads, a rigid drive system is incorporated resulting in a much more reliable lifting device. Every lift and end-effecter under-go rigorous factory testing simulating actual use and extensive QC inspections are performed prior to shipment. Customers are welcome to visit and perform factory acceptance testing of the lifter.
Filtration lifts manufactured by Alum-a-lift are in daily use worldwide in over 20 countries. Lifts and carts can be constructed that are CE compliant or to other required standards. Factory trained representatives are available to assist you in gathering the necessary information so a lift and end-effector can be configured for your unique lifting requirement and to provide local support and operator training.
