Example applications where Alum-a-Lifts may be found include handling spools, reels, and coils of wire, loading silica/quartz glass preforms into towers for the drawing of fiber optic cable, panel handling, including the manufacturing of solar panels, and the installation of power distribution panel into enclosures, precise manipulation of process-specific equipment, and any other object too heavy for the unaided human.

Alum-a-Lift is an expert in clean room requirements and the leading producer of cleanroom lifts and cleanroom handling devices. Having over 25 years’ experience in providing clean room equipment, Alum-a-Lift can configure any lift for clean room compliance. Alum-a-Lifts can be used in up to FED STD Class 10 (ISO 4.)

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) concerns are understood and can always be addressed.

Alum-a-Lifts are useful in the manufacture of light-weight components. Clamping lifts raise and rotate drums and buckets, roll handling systems for papers, plastics and laminates, and simple booms and expanding mandrels for spools and reels. Boom lifts with tethers, grippers and fixtures are often used to handle molds, dies, fixturing, tooling, and other components used for fabrication.

Portable vacuum systems are often employed for panels, glass, sheets, enclosures, or other smooth components. Vacuum lifts can be run from your existing compressed air supply, or with an on-board vacuum generator. Rotation and translation about all axes are available.

Roller decks, fork sets, articulated arms or other end-effectors can be useful to load bins, baskets, totes, and trays into environmental chambers, anechoic chambers, vibe stations, thermal chambers and ovens. Alum-a-Lift understands that some of these machines have their own geometric challenges, and an off-the-shelf system may not fit.

Alum-a-Lift can configure work positioners, allowing unencumbered access to all sides of a component. Adaptors can be designed to integrate a system with your existing fixturing. Complete, turnkey handling systems and handling devices are also available.

An Alum-a-Lift can fit in narrow aisles or under overhead obstacles. Often a single lift can replace multiple overhead hoists or stationary balancers. If clearance for forward protruding legs is unavailable, counterbalanced lifts are available.

Alum-a-Lifts are suitable for your cleaning practices, with stainless steel lifts configured for caustic cleaners. IP-65 lifts are available as well. Even our most basic battery powered lift is suitable for Class 10,000 (ISO 7.)

Alum-a-Lifts can be configured to be used in environments containing ignitable concentrations of either dust or gas explosive environment and meet the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. Hazardous environment lifts and explosion proof lifts can be configured with either an EE or an EX rating.
