We have a complete line of drum dumping lifts, drum handlers and drum hoists for carboys full of powders, liquids, and capsules; roll handling systems lift paper and plastic packaging, labeling, and bagging; custom lifts and custom end-effectors handle your filters, vessels, vials, mixers, boxes, and anything else too heavy for the unaided human. Alum-a-Lift is compliant with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) outlined by the US FDA. Stainless steel lifts and end-effectors are offered for any system meant to come in direct contact with drugs or other sanitary materials.
Alum-a-Lifts are suitable for your cleaning practices, with wet environment lifts and IP-65 lifts available for caustic cleaners and hose-down wash-down. Alum-a-Lifts can be configured to be used in environments containing ignitable concentrations of either dust or gas explosive environment and meet the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. Alum-a-Lifts can be configured with either an EE or an EX rating. Lifts carrying an EX rating are pneumatically-operated and Intrinsically-Safe. EX units are compatible with ATEX Category 2 and can be used in the following hazardous areas: US NEC 500/IEC Class 1 Div 1 and Class 2 Div 1 US NEC 505 / IEC Zone 1 (Gases / Vapors) and Zone 21 (Dusts) Lifts carrying an EE rating feature sealed electrical systems and components. EE units are compatible with ATEX Category 3 and can be used in the following hazardous areas: US NEC 500/IEC Class 1 Div 2 and Class 2 Div 2 US NEC 505 / IEC Zone 2 (Gases / Vapors) and Zone 22 (Dusts)

Even the most basic pharmaceutical lifter uses a clean, electric, ball screw drive suitable for Class 10,000 (ISO 7.)
Alum-a-Lift tailors systems for your specific process. A clamping end-effector may differ not only for a 20, 30, or 55 gallon drum, but also for lifting and dumping drums of the same size in fiber, metal, and plastic. A lift that raises drums up to a mezzanine may utilize a telescoping mast section, while the lift that dumps the same drums into a hopper may be equipped with powered wrists to allow forward dumping or a trunion to allow side dumping. Alum-a-lift has an extensive range of fully configurable roll handling lifts and roll handling carts to interface with your pharmaceutical packaging equipment. Roll manipulators can clamp and rotate a roll for placement on a fixed shaft or insertion of a core shat. Bag handling lifts and bag handling dumpers can be configured when powders need to be poured into mixing chambers.
An Alum-a-Lift is optimized for the equipment it will interact with and the environment is will operate in. Confined spaces, narrow aisles, overhead obstacles, and other challenges are identified and addressed as a standard practice. When leg space isn’t available, counterbalanced lifts are available. Alum-a-lifts are versatile and eliminate the need for forklifts. Typical ergonomic battery powered pharmaceutical lifts and biotech lifts are compact, lightweight and mobile. Factors such as push / pull forces are analyzed when designing the lifting device with the goal of minimizing overall system weight for ease of use. When push / pull forces do exceed industry standards, clean electric powered drive wheels are available. Alum-a-lift’s designs also address real-world off-center loading conditions which are the largest contributor to failure in a light-weight lift system. Single mast systems cannot withstand side loading and will ultimately fail. Utilizing dual mast construction in standard lifts or linear rail construction to withstand heavier side loads or dynamic side loads, a rigid drive system is incorporated resulting in a much more reliable lifting device. Every lift and end-effecter under-go rigorous factory testing simulating actual use and extensive QC inspections are performed prior to shipment.
