Alum-a-Lift offers numerous solutions for Healthcare and Medical device manufacturers.
Alum-a-Lifts are commonly found inside clean rooms for the assembly of sensitive components, in production areas serving as mobile work positioners and assembly fixtures, in Quality Assurance (QA) test, loading thermal chambers, environmental chambers, and vibration stations, and in the field, supporting the replacement of critical components in hospitals and at client sites.
Alum-a-Lift has over 25 years’ experience in providing clean room equipment and can configure any lift for clean room lifts and end-effecters and can configure any ergonomic material handling lift for clean room compliance. Alum-a-Lifts can be used in up to FED STD Class 10 (ISO 4.)
Stainless steel tooling and end-effectors are offered for any system meant to come in direct contact with sanitary materials. Alum-a-Lifts are suitable for your cleaning practices, with stainless steel lifts available for caustic cleaners. IP-65 lifts are available which can be configured for exposure to liquids. Even our most basic battery powered lifts are suitable for class 10,000 (ISO 7).
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) concerns are understood and can always be addressed.
Alum-a-Lift’s work positioners and assembly support tools range from simple fork sets, booms, and platforms, articulated arms to multi degree-of-freedom fixtures and rotators. Every Alum-a-Lift is optimized for the equipment it will interact with and the environment is will operate in. Confined spaces, narrow aisles, overhead obstacles, and other challenges are identified and addressed as a standard practice. End-effectors are tailored to be a perfect match with the specific equipment to be handled or assembled. If clearance for forward protruding legs is unavailable, counterbalanced lifts are available.
when packaging a product, Alum-a-Lift has an extensive range of roll handling lifts, roll handling carts, roll manipulators and roll inverters. If drum handling is required, we have drum dumping lifts, drum hoists and drum handlers that can be tailored to your unique requirements.
Alum-a-lifts designs also address real-world off-center loading conditions which are the largest contributor to failure in a light-weight lift system. Single mast systems cannot withstand side loading and will ultimately fail. Utilizing dual mast construction in standard lifts or linear rail construction to withstand heavier side loads or dynamic side loads, a rigid drive system is incorporated resulting in a much more reliable lifting device. Every compact lift and end-effecter under-go rigorous factory testing simulating actual use and extensive QC inspections are performed prior to shipment. Customers are welcome to visit and perform factory acceptance testing.
Alum-a-Lift is proud to offer the Trav-a-Lift, a patented, portable lifting device that is uniquely suited to the field service and replacement of heavy components. Alum-a-Lift has successfully deployed field service lifts that handle medical components, flat panel LCD and plasma displays, batteries, semiconductor fab tooling, power supplies, pumps, routers, servers, and numerous other devices and products.
The Trav-a-Lift represents a complete portable lifting solution that can be easily transported, assembled, and used by a single technician to lift and install loads weighing up to 400lbs to heights up to six feet. Like any Alum-a-Lift, a Trav-a-Lift is configured for your specific application, with factors such as load capacity, lifting height, reach, floor and overhead obstructions, and other environmental factors being considered. Using proprietary aluminum extrusions, the Trav-a-Lift is light-weight and can be assembled in minutes without requiring tools. For more information, visit field service.
