Alum-a-Lift has successfully deployed field service lifts that handle medical components, flat panel LCD and plasma displays, batteries, semiconductor fab tooling, power supplies, pumps, routers, servers, and numerous other devices and products.
The Trav-a-Lift represents a complete portable lifting solution that can be easily transported, assembled, and used by a single technician to lift and install loads weighing up to 400lbs to heights up to six feet. Like any Alum-a-Lift handling device, a Trav-a-Lift is configured for your specific application, with factors such as load capacity, lifting height, reach, floor and overhead obstructions, and other environmental factors being considered. Using proprietary aluminum extrusions, the Trav-a-Lift is a light-weight and compact lift can be assembled in minutes without requiring tools. The Trav-a-lift can act as a mobile workstation if a technician is performing field repairs.
Lifting is achieved via either a lead screw or winch arrangement, housed in single or dual-stage mast assemblies. Trav-a-Lifts are equipped with a universal input shaft and removable hand wheel, allowing a load to be raised manually, or by using a standard powered hand drill.
Trav-a-Lifts benefit from the vast Alum-a-Lift library of lifting devices and end-effectors, with booms, slings, fork sets, platforms, and roller decks being utilized most often. Like the lift itself, these end-effectors can be easily disassembled and flat packed for transport.
A Trav-a-Lift’s portability is its defining characteristic. these mobile lifts can be transported in a truck, van, or small passenger car. Hard plastic shipping cases are available, increasing the transportation possibilities. When packaged in its ATA-rated, foam lined, wheeled case, a Trav-a-Lift can be taken as luggage on a plane, or shipped by parcel or freight carrier. Trav-a-Lifts deployed at strategically chosen depots can provide global support for your technicians.
For long term or high-frequency operation, Alum-a-Lift’s standard constructions can also be optimized for use in the field.
Alum-a-Lift is familiar with region-specific and international safety codes and electrical directives. Lifts can be offered with standardized “conformity kits” including the necessary documentation and modifications for use in specific regions. Alum-a-Lift battery chargers can operate on power sources ranging between 90-264 VAC. Lifts can alternatively be equipped with power supplies to eliminate the need for batteries altogether.
